ABOUT SOUTHERN COLORADO INDEPENDENT AND OTHER PUEBLO-BASED MAGAZINES AND GUIDES:
Southern Colorado Independent Magazine is an online news source that explores the lifestyle and lore of Pueblo and the surrounding areas. Our team of journalists, investigative reporters and columnists aim to feature and empower those who are often unheard, playing a key role in holding those in power accountable to the people. Our grassroots magazine gives locals a venue to communicate and understand what is going on, and focuses on solutions if improvements can’t be made.
Southern Colorado Independent is linked to a family of locally owned magazines including Southern Colorado Guide, the Pueblo Downtowner, Pueblo Scene, Pueblo Music Scene and Pueblo Family Scene Magazines (all with websites that are under construction now) that utilize websites, facebook and other digital media to inform, educate, entertain and empower citizens of this unique part of Colorado. Through this wholly independent and locally owned network, we are dedicated to entertaining and educating our audience with high-quality content featuring local personalities, business, history, lifestyles, and culture, with an events calendars and restaurant guides.
