Three students from a training center in Canon City reported missing by DOC

Screen Shot 2017-08-20 at 12.23.43 PMA media advisory issued by the Colorado State Department of Corrections Sunday morning confirms that three students from Afghanistan did not come back to a meeting place last night in Colorado Springs. The three students are part of a group of correctional staff authorized to be in the US in training at DOC in the International Correctional Management Training Center in Canon City. The release says that the Department of Corrections conduct background checks and throughout vet all of the students who train at the center and that they are here on temporary visas. The DOC says their primary concern in releasing the media advisory is for the safety of the students.
