Here’s what’s playing this weekend and the coming week in Pueblo’s flourishing live music scene at our music city’s growing number of live music venues, ranging from intimate coffee houses and wine bars, to nightclubs and larger public venues, where you can listen to everything from classical and jazz to rock and metal, rap and hip hop, to classical, folk, country and the blues.

FRIDAY, JULY 27
Steele Street Band @ Park East | 6:30 pm | Enjoy fine dining, cocktails and live acoustic music with Pueblo’s talented Steele Street band. The live music starts at 6:30 at Park East, 720 Goodnight Avenue, located at the entrance to City Park.
Martini Shot @ Festival Fridays at Sangre De Christo Art Center | 6:30 pm | Martini Shot, a seven-piece, horn powered, pop-rock cover and original band based out of Southern Colorado, is playing at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center’s renowned Festival Fridays July 27th. Food and cocktails available. Purchase tickets in advance at the Art’s Center or at the door.
Jake Gallegos @ Walters | 7 pm | Enjoy craft beer, good company and live music by Jake Gallegos starting at 7 pm at Walter’s Brewery and Taproom, located at 126 Oneida St, downtown (follow where D St. turns into Oneida – near the railroad tracks). There will be food provided by Gray Coors food truck.
Brass Saddle Band @ The Brass Saddle | 8:30 pm | Enjoy food, cocktails and live country music at Pueblo’s country dance hall and restaurant. Doors open at 5 pm and the kitchen is open until 10 pm, with live music until 12:30 am. The Brass Saddle is located in a newly renovated building on the South Side at 1725 W. Pueblo Blvd.
Cari Del Trio @ Classic Q’s | 9 pm | Cari Del Trio plays live until 1 am at Classic Q’s, where you can enjoy their new dance floor, food and cocktails. Classic Q’s, traditionally a pool hall, located at 1715 S Prairie Ave., has expanded into having live music every weekend!
SATURDAY, JULY 28TH:
Steele Street Band @ Eagles Club | 7 pm | Enjoy a fun event at the “Jimmy Buffett Cheeseburger in Paradise” evening at the Eagles in Pueblo West. The popular Steele Street band, led by guitarist and singer Mark Espinosa, plays Jimmy Buffett and live tunes beginning at 7 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, open to the public, 348 S. McColloch Blvd.
Christian Jaquez @ Walters | 7 pm | Enjoy craft beer, good company and live music by Jake Gallegos starting at 7 pm at Walter’s Brewery and Taproom, located at 126 Oneida St, downtown (follow where D St. turns into Oneida – near the railroad tracks). Monday, Monday Open Mic Night | 7 pm | The VFW Post 5812 in Pueblo West at 127 E Spaulding and host Vel Mattson and the band, The Moon Riders, play with a typically older, spirited mix of local artists, singers and musicians who enjoy entertaining there. Open mic nights every Monday at the VFW are free and open to the public.
TUESDAY, JULY 31
Into the Studio Open Mic | 6:30 pm | The Pueblo House presents “Into the Studio Open Mic” every Tuesday at an outside stage, weather permitting, hosted by local musician, James Raymond Smith (Jimi Ray), and Janet Wilson, who manages the Pueblo House (which is actually three nonprofit restored homes on the East Side), the radio station KOYC 98.5LPFM and music studio, located at 824 E 5th Street.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1
Live At the Senate Open Mic | 7 pm | Local musician, Mike Polk presents “Live At The Senate Open Mic” every Wednesday at the Senate Bar and Grill, located in the historic district of Pueblo at 219 Grand Avenue, a popular place to play and listen to live music, drink beer and eat pub style food. It’s a must visit open mic night for music enthusiasts.
THURSDAY, AUGUST 2
Rolling River Open Mic Night | 6 pm | Every Thursday, a variety of local musicians and bands showcase their talent at the Rolling River Open Mic Night, hosted by Vel Mattson, Jim Giltner and members of the Rolling River Band at the Coyote Grill and Raptor Nature Center, which overlooks the scenic Arkansas River. Live music starts at 6 pm, but get there early for dinner and drink specials.
Open Mic Variety Jam | 9 pm | Considered to be the hottest open mic night in town, every Thursday night many of Pueblo’s most talented musicians flock to the Riverside Bar and Grill, where the live music starts at 9 pm. Music lovers know to arrive early as the place gets packed, to get good seating and enjoy appetizers, drinks and dinner before the show. “Open Mic Variety Jam” is presented by Pueblo’s talented Ron Morrison, lead singer of the group CDR/RadioAction.
